Digital X-rays offer some distinct advantages over traditional film x-rays. Foremost is reduced radiation exposure by as much as 75%, which makes dental x-ray safer in regard to radiation exposure. The process of digital x-ray takes only seconds. Digital x-rays creates computer-based images. With the large, colour-enhanced images, you see what your dentist sees for a better understanding of the treatment recommended. With both of you looking at the screen together, it is easier for you and your dentist to co-diagnose and make informed treatment decisions. Also, if needed, a copy of your digital x-ray can be sent to you by email. Very soon, we will be able to help you to send your digital x- ray to your insurance electronically for crown, bridge and implant estimates.

Indication: to replace a missing tooth where its adjacent teeth are in good condition (photo 1).

Procedure: Implant is placed into jaw bone (photo 1), the patient  then waits 3 to 4 months to ensure the implant integrate to the bone (photo 2). An impression is then taken and the case is sent to lab to fabricate a crown (photo 3).

Afterwards, the crown is inserted into thr patients mouth. The whole procedure takes 5 to 6 months (photo 4,5,6).

For some cases, the implant can be done in just one appointment in our office.

For example, the following is the procedure we do to replace a fractured front tooth hit by a hockey stick.

The root tip is  extracted, and an implant is placed immediately. Then a crown, fabricated from our Cerec 3, is inserted ion top of the implant.  From the extraction to placement of implant, it takes only one visit.

 The benefit of the treatment is that:

1.  Patient can have the tooth right away.

2. It is done in a single visit.

3. Preserves the bone due to the presence of an implant; the presence of an immediate tooth can also maintain the original gum profile.

Multiple implant:

Indication: For patients who have no teeth and pateints who can not wear denture due to strong gag reflex.

Procedure: teeth are extracted and implants are placed immediatly (photo1,2). Patient wear tempery denture  for 3 to 4 months to ensure the implants integrating to the bone. An impression is taken  (photo3) and the case is sent to lab fabricate non removable bridge (photo4,5,6). Please visit www.imtec.com for more information.

Mini Implants:

Indication:  To suport loose or ill-fitting lower denture(photo1,2,3,4). To replace a single tooth or multiple teeth in narrow bone ridge area.(photo 5,6,7,8,9))

Procedure:  In most cases, Mini implants can be placed without incision of your gum. Denture or a tooth can be loaded immediatly(photo)

 The case can be finished at same day in office (with Cerec3 crown  photo 5,6,7)and no need to send to lab.(photo).
